Once I got into it it was very difficult to put down. She tried to put you into the feel and smell of Victorian New York, though at times I found it a distraction. One of the plot twists was obvious, however I enjoyed watching how it played out and found I was still surprised by some things at the end. If you enjoy Victoriana, murder mysteries or the occult, you should enjoy this.
