I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.
3.5 stars rounded up.
The frightening and claustrophobic world of 1958 in a middle class Detroit suburb. There are age, race, class and sexual dynamics that keep the book moving, all while you're running to keep up with the characters pace. There are some surprises I didn't see coming, which is always a pleasure.
Not my usual fare, however I've become interested in the blight and blight of Detroit in the 21st century.
